I moved to Valencia the same way you probably did — full of excitement, and then completely stuck the first time something in the apartment needed fixing. Getting a straight answer, a firm time, or a price you could plan around felt harder than it should be.
My career started in the software world, and being surrounded by that stuff all day is how I ended up building my own machines — then repairing them, then everyone else's. Screens, keyboards, batteries, drives, the lot. So when your laptop dies here, you don't have to ship it home or explain the problem in Spanish.
That same habit of taking things apart properly turned into a business. I ran a property preservation company contracting for banks — fixing safety hazards, handling mold remediation, and working through whatever repair list a bank-owned home needed to pass inspection and be ready to show. When someone else inspects your work for a living, you learn quickly that shortcuts don't survive.
Alongside that I've renovated my own home top to bottom: carpentry, custom lighting, refinishing, and enough tricky installs to know what's behind a wall before I drill into it. Circuit board or brick wall, I dry-fit everything twice and check the level one more time than necessary — because the difference between a decent job and a great one is almost always in the last 10%.
I also know what it's like on your side of the door. So I explain what I'm doing in plain English, I tell you if something isn't worth spending money on, and I don't leave dust on your floor for you to deal with.

Yes — a lot of my work is in rentals. Anything that puts holes in a wall needs your landlord's OK first, and I can suggest less permanent options where they exist. I'll always flag it before drilling.
